Our Training Programs

All programs are custom-designed to achieve the training objectives of the client. We do not conduct plain vanilla, off-the-shelf programs. All programs consist of an interesting, informative and interactive mix of cases, group exercises, demonstrations, role plays, videos (where helpful) and lecture -- which are tailored to the unique culture of the client company and the real-life challenges facing the students. Giving and Receiving Feedback

Objective: To learn how to both give and solicit constructive feedback to/from supervisors, subordinates, co-workers and team members. Particularly beneficial as part of a team development effort, 360º feedback program implementation or performance appraisal redesign.
Target Audience: Employees at all levels.

Is Anyone Listening?

Objective: To learn effective communications skills, including active listening and knowing the communications style of yourself and others, so that you can get your message across and understand the messages from others.

Flex Negotiating

Objective: To know your dominant negotiating style and how to flex that style to be more effective when negotiating and resolving conflicts with customers, suppliers, supervisors and co-workers.
Target Audience: Employees at all levels. Especially beneficial to customer service, sales and purchasing people.

Customer Service

Objective: To learn the face-to-face and telephone skills necessary to provide superior customer service, including understanding the customer's needs, resolving the customer's problems, and handling irate customers.
Target Audience: Anyone who interfaces with customers.

Reflections

Objective: To gain insight into how you are perceived by others and how you can flex your style to be more effective with supervisors and co-workers. This program uses a self-assessment inventory and/or 360º feedback.
Target Audience: Employees at all levels.

Consulting Skills

Objective: To learn how to have influence with others and have your expertise valued by those over whom you have no direct control or authority.
Target Audience: Employees in staff positions like human resources, purchasing, finance and information services.

The Visionary Leader

Objective: To understand the difference between management and leadership, and to learn the skills of developing and articulating a vision and goals that energize and excite people.
Target Audience: Anyone in a leadership position, but especially senior executives.

These are not traditional classroom training programs. They are one or more team meetings designed to accomplish the following:

  1. address real life issues of trust and cooperation affecting team performance; or
  2. improve processes, quality and customer service; or
  3. accomplish the first and second goals together

Skills are taught in the sessions, but always in the context of achieving a tangible business goal while improving interpersonal relationships. Typically, the consultant conducts a diagnosis before designing the team meetings, usually by interviewing the participants about the issues facing the team and the business.
